This certification is the benchmark for fire resistance in Europe to classify products and building materials used in the construction industry, which also includes rubber flooring products.

Fire resistance technically not only refers to the resistance to burning behavior, but also addresses the generation of smoke. This is an extremely significant fact considering that the vast majority of fatalities in a fire are caused due to smoke inhalation and that thick smoke can impair vision, hampering chances of escape as well as rescue efforts. In this regard, we are proud of the fact that our products have been classified in the “S1” category, which is the highest level of performance in terms of smoke generation for flooring products. As part of the robust testing procedures, our products comfortably passed tests to determine the Burning Behavior (EN ISO 9239-1) and Ignitability (EN ISO 11925-2) as well.
